Meeting rooms have gone through several phases of evolution over the last ten years. The move to personal meetings, or huddles, has been driven by a number of factors including a lower price to entry, the rise of collaborative working, and of course remote working.
The global pandemic has thrown yet another question mark over the industry, what will our meeting rooms look like when we make it back into the office? In this conversation we will ask our experts and prominent brands which trends they are seeing in the market and if we are looking at the emergence of another type of meetings space… hybrid meeting rooms.
Espen leads Webex Rooms Product Management. He has been at Cisco since the acquisition of TANDBERG in 2010 and has been instrumental in managing Cisco´s Video Conferencing and Telepresence business through multiple market transitions. When Espen isn’t passionately discussing the future of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his three kids. He holds a M. Sc. from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and lives and works in Oslo.
Tyler Troutman has close to 15 years of experience in the installation and integration market, with the bulk of his career spent working directly with end users to better understand the needs of the ever-evolving meeting space. Before coming to Shure to work in Market Development, he spent time at Zoom Video Communications, helping to develop the Zoom Rooms platform.
Marcus-Michael Müller is the Head of Unified Communications Europe at YAMAHA MUSIC EUROPE GmbH. In his role, he is responsible for Sales, Marketing and the Business Development for Yamaha’s Unified Communications products and solutions in the European region. Marcus graduated in industrial engineering at the Technical University in Braunschweig, Germany and has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of IT and telecommunications. Before joining Yamaha in 2019, Marcus held several senior management positions.
